1. Make them boys go loco
2. Make them boys go crazy
Fergie, G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S chanteuse, is reportedly about to do the whole comeback thing
Nearly one full decade after the release of her debut solo record The Dutchess (8 years, to be exact), the former Black Eyed Peas frontwoman is readying a brand new single called “L.A. Love (La La),” which sounds like a combination of two Ashlee Simpson songs and also a Rachel Stevens song in one song title.
Thanks to a tweet by Billboard’s Gary Trust, we now know that the song is due to drop on pop radio on September 30, which is, like, really soon. (WAY TO SPILL THE BEANS, GARY.)
While we don’t know much about the song yet, Billboard also revealed earlier this week that the Ferg’s been working with Mike WiLL Made It on her follow-up record due out in 2015, who is responsible for unleashing this upon the world. (Not a complaint.) There’s still no word on whether frequent pop terrorist will.u.not will be involved in the project in any way, so let’s form a prayer circle and hope that the album’s not called Stacy Jean.
Here’s hoping it sounds something like…
AND THAT’S NOT ALL.
1. One whose shit is bananas (B-A-N-A-N-A-S)
2. An owner of pom-poms
3. Still not entirely sure, to be honest
Gwen Stefani, pop goddess, Harajuku Girl enthusiast and No Doubt legend, has been slowly making the worst kept surprise solo comeback-turned-not-a-surprise-at-all comeback of 2014, from her new gig operating a red swivel chair on The Voice to her contribution to Maroon 5‘s latest album.
According to a blink-and-you-missed-it-already post on Interscope’s promo page, Gwen’s upcoming comeback single will reportedly be called “Baby Don’t Lie” (Scherzy shade?), due out on October 6.
While we don’t know much about the song yet, Diplo recently spilled the beans on their collaboration in the studio earlier in the year, and Gwen herself said that she’s been working with “Hollaback Girl” hit-maker Pharrell, who is responsible for unleashing this upon the world. (Not a complaint.)
Here’s hoping it sounds something like…
Two pop divas. Two weeks of comebacks. Let the shaking and crying commence.
