How clever! I just got an e-mail from Britney.com, inviting me to a Blackout Ball. After reading a rhyme-happy invitation, you can click on the link leading to a “VIP room.” Then, if you enter two words from the screen caps of “Break The Ice”, you are led into the all-access premiere of Britney’s “Break The Ice” video tonight! The webmaster has two bits of info about the new video:
1. It is completely animated, in Japanese flux animation style (like Utada’s videos!)
and
2. It was directed by Robert Hales, who did Gnarls Barkley‘s summer smash, “Crazy”, as well as Justin Timberlake‘s “LoveStoned/I Think She Knows” and the Scissor Sisters‘ “Kiss You Off”. He’s clearly quite talented, as all of those videos incorporate various animate properties. The puppet work from “Kiss You Off” still amazes me, now that I think of it.
The video will premiere TONIGHT at 6:30 PM EST. Click on the link to be invited to the Blackout Ball!
