Daily B: Putting the Derriere Back In The Magazines.

Everyone knows I’ve been creaming myself over Britney‘s latest string of promotional duties in the past week, and now, there’s even more to flutter my fancy. In her first proper interview in over…well, I’d say three years, Britney and her father spoke with OK! Magazine for an exclusive interview coming out on Friday. Throughout, she spoke about post-breakdown life, her bebes, and her dreams. The whole article has yet to leak (this is only a segment from Access Hollywood), though I believe this is about the most we’ll get regardingPhotobucket the new album:

Britney also provided an update on her new album, the follow up to last year’s “Blackout,” which will be out in “the next six to nine months,” the pop star said.

“I’m writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room,” Brit told OK! “This is my best work ever.”

Britney said she is working with talented people who are helping her take her songs up a level.

“I think it is more urban. I’m working with producers who are just amazing. It’s Harvey Mason of The Underdogs,” she noted. “There is this fresh new energy. “

Perhaps she’s not kidding about the urban flavor if Mason is any representation of her latest output. He’s produced tracks including Jordin Sparks‘ “No Air,” Beyonce‘s “Listen” (as well as the rest of the Dreamgirls soundtrack), and Stacie Orrico‘s one hit wonder, “Stuck On You.” Sorry Stacie, I’m sure you’re still a bit sensitive about that. If it’s any consolation, it’s still a massive track. Hmm, now I’ve made it awkward.

Anyway, some are a bit worried about this one, considering “urban” is such a damning label for a pop star (Remember that shit album, Madonna?) Never fear though, I truly believe that B’s got the rhythm to handle urban. She’s got great versatility in her style, despite what the haters may say. So we’ll wait and see, but I’m sure it’s going to be brilliant as usual.
