SIT DOWN, TAKE YOUR HANDS OUT OF YOUR PANTS, AND PAY ATTENTION FOR ONCE IN YOUR DAMN LIFE.
I am dying right now. Lit-rally–in tears. Shaking, crying and laughing. I die. Coffin. (WATCH)
Today, Utada Hikaru released the video for “Goodbye Happiness,” the second single to promote the legendary Japanese pop artist’s second greatest hits collection, Single Collection Vol. 2.
In what appears to be a simple YouTube (or rather, U-Tube) dance video at first glance (which hits WAY TOO CLOSE TO HOME by the way, as my closest friends can attest), the video soon erupts into an utterly A-M-A-Z-I-N-G mish-mosh of slap-happy fuckery, moments of kawaiiiiii, and several references to some of Hikki’s classic video moments, including “Automatic” and “Keep Tryin’.”
Seriously, I could NOT stop giggling the entire time.
But if there’s anything to absorb from this video, it is this glorious moment, which I have EVER SO GRACIOUSLY captured myself in .GIF format:
You are welcome.
Single Collection Vol. 2 will be released on November 24. (iTunes)
