The Swede-pop cutie pie is back!
After unleashing his platinum-selling collection Saade Vol. 1 earlier this summer, Eric Saade isn’t wasting a single minute to release the follow-up: Saade Vol. 2, due out on November 30.
To kick off the campaign, the singer responsible for the never-not-amusing “Manboy,” as well as the wildly successful 2011 Eurovision Song Contest track “Popular,” will unleash “Hotter Than Fire” on November 2, featuring professional US speak-singer Dev.
With its pulsing synthesizers and bangin’ beats, “Hotter Than Fire” is more or less the stuff of today’s R&B-tinged dance floor fodder–from Usher‘s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love,” Enrique Iglesias‘ “Tonight (I’m Fuckin’ You)” or Taio Cruz‘s “Higher”–though with a distinctly Swedish power-pop sensibility.
And while her verse is a little blink-and-you’ll-miss-it, Dev’s smooth talkin’ assist is a vital addition to this production: “I’m flammable, I’m TNT/Light it up,” she sexily purrs during the chorus.
The song was co-penned along with Jason Gill and Julimar Santos, the same writers behind Saade’s June hit, “Hearts In The Air (Feat. J-Son).” “It’s a song that shows quite clearly where I am going. I love electro-pop and I feel like I’m in the middle of the development to begin to find what I want to do,” Saade says of his new track.
I mean, sure: You’ll probably get tired of it after about a week, but for now? It’s super fun, it’s super dance-y…it’s FIYUH!
