REJOICE, ONE AND ALL: IT’S A CLARKSELEBRATION!
Do you hear that noise? IT’S THE SOUND OF KELLY CLARKSON SLAYING YOUR ENTIRE LIFE WITH HER FIFTH STUDIO ALBUM, STRONGER.
Earlier today, Billboard revealed this week’s Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts. And the results? Queen Clarkson’s had a pretty damn good week, that’s for sure.
“Mr. Know It All,” the album’s lead single, jumped up from #19 to #10 on the Hot 100, thus snagging the singer the ninth Top 10 hit of her career (and proving that the song was a slow-burn radio success from the start.)
From Billboard:
As her fifth album, “Stronger,” debuts on the Billboard 200, Kelly Clarkson collects her ninth Hot 100 top 10, as the set’s lead single, “Mr. Know It All,” blasts 19-10. The track charges 18-9 on Digital Songs (104,000, up 60%) and 22-19 on Radio Songs (47 million, up 5%).
And what’s more, Stronger had an amazing lead–debuting at #2 this week, thus making this her fifth (that’s five for five, people!) album to debut in the Top 3 of the Billboard 200.
From Billboard:
The Billboard 200’s second-highest debut is Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger,” which starts at No. 2 with 163,000 sold. It’s the original “American Idol” champ’s fifth album, and fifth consecutive to debut in the top three. Her last release, “All I Ever Wanted,” was her second No. 1 album, when it debuted in the top slot with 255,000. The new album’s first single, “Mr. Know It All,” rises 16-15 on the Pop Songs airplay chart this week.
A MOMENT LIKE THIS, INDEED.
