They say Ashlee Simpson gets away with murder.
Well, she’s coming back for yet another kill–right in time for Halloween.
As promised weeks ago during an interview, the talented Simpson sister has just provided us with a tease of her comeback track “Bat For A Heart,” which will be released along with a video on November 21.
“I know you want it now, want it now, want it now,” Miss Simpson seductively purrs above the brooding synth-pop track. God, it’s so deliciously moody and noir!
And yes, she’s still very much in the mood to lala: “I’m gonna bang, bang/fuck you up/Twist you out inside of my head,” she yelps above gritty electronica and wailing police sirens. Is that an “Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)” reference? And those weird, warbling synthesizers at the end? OY, and that flaw-free Black Swan ballet dip at the very end of that teaser clip? Oh, this all seems frighteningly good so far…
I L-O, L-O, L-O-V-E it! It’s an All Hallows Eve miracle.
