MNEK Is Ready To Pop, Drops ‘Mixtape Vernacular’ Ahead of Major Label Debut

MNEK is nearly 100% ready to go.

You already know and love the singer-songwriter-producer-pop-star-wunderkind from his many contributions to the pop scene over the past three years, between writing and producing tracks for The Saturdays (“All Fired Up”), Little Mix (“Wings”) and Misha B (“Home Run”), as well as features on songs like Rudimental‘s “Spoons” and “Baby,” Duke Dumont‘s “Hold On” and the #1 Duke Dumont smash with A*M*E, “Need U (100%).”

Now, he’s about to step out as a pop star in his own right.

To prepare the public for his impending arrival on the scene, MNEK’s just dropped the MIXTAPE VERNACULAR, a collection of tunes and teeny (promising!) teases of tracks from his upcoming 2014 major label debut to set the mood. It’s got all the necessary jamz — from Mariah to Disclosure. (I mean, it starts with Janet‘s “Nasty” and ends with Maya Rudolph on Saturday Night Live. Need I say more?)

Have a listen below to hear one of pop’s most promising talents getting in the groove.
