Fun fact: When singer-songwriter superstar Sia isn’t gracing the cover (well, sort of!) of Billboard or penning singles for living legend Britney Spears, she also enjoys putting out killer tunes of her own.
“Elastic Heart,” as you might already know, is one of the better songs of 2013. The powerhouse collaboration — which will be featured on Sia’s upcoming 2014 studio album — features a heart-wrenching assist by alt-R&B titan The Weeknd and reliably next-level production by “Express Yourself” master producer, Diplo. And now, there’s a lyric video for all your shower karaoke pleasure.
Is the notoriously camera shy songstress in the video? Well, no — but you’re close. The clip was shot with a cleverly blonde-bobbed, Sia-esque female lead going through it with her (ex?)-boyfriend, anxiously chain-smoking and change-clothing her way through the heartbreak and innter turmoil. There’s no easy way to bounce back from this sucky situation — and sometimes, the best bet is to throw your hands up and stick a middle finger in the sky (quite literally).
