And now, in today’s episode of Britney Jean: A Little More Personal (Raw)…
We’re all aware that Sia‘s no stranger to dance floor domination, having piloted both David Guetta‘s global smash “Titanium” and “She Wolf (Falling To Pieces).”
We’re also aware that Sia crafted “Passenger” with PRISM purveyor Katy Perry, then handed the keys to Diplo, who then handed the keys to The Holy Spearit, who gave it her own Personal and Urban touch before going to the light and handing the keys to Jesus.
Now, we’ve got an opportunity to hear what the original version sounded like — before Brit Brit, before Katy — with Sia’s soulful vocals at the wheel, thanks to Country Club Martini Crew.
In what will be surprising to approximately no one, the original is an absolute monster and a half, complete with alternate melodies and the kind of powerful belting that we’ve come to expect from Sia. The meaty House reinterpretation supplied by CCMC only adds to the adrenaline rush, resulting in what could have been yet another club killer from the ubiquitous pop singer-songwriter.
CCMC also produced a “radio mix” of the remix, complete with some alternate Spearitual takes from Britney herself, including a brief chuckle in place of that, uh, questionable high note.
Eh heh…just enjoy the ride, won’t you?
‘Britney Jean’ was released on December 3. (iTunes)
