At the moment, #NoBasicZone Leader, Illuminati High Priestess and Navy Commander Rihanna is being selfish and spending all her time cackling to herself, posting memes on her newly Rih-actived Instagram and hanging with Michael Bolton, when she should be worried about saving our sorry souls with R8. (Trust me, I’m trying to get the message across.)
But she just got a temporary pass for her lack of album-making after unveiling what is surely one of the best magazine spreads of 2014 with her December shoot for Esquire UK. Seriously, stun-ning. Look at that cover! That’s a poster — or an album cover. She’s giving me a RiRi-fied Diana!
Teaming up yet again with the reliably incredible Ellen Von Unwerth (of Holy Blackout spread fame), Rih gets next-to-naked in the bathroom and up against a brick wall — no heels, no shirt, no skirt, all she’s in is just skin (REFERENCE).
With any luck, between Elle and Esquire UK, this is just the beginning of a new era.
