LEGENDTINA NEWS NETWORK (New York, NY) — GRAMMY® Award winning chanteuse, honorary New York City Ambassador and founding foremother of the Caviar Ratchet movement Legendtina Maria Nina Desnudate Goduilera has just demonstrated her true vocal verSAY!tility this evening.
After blessing fans and Z-list music bloggers with free coffee last week, the “Nasty Naughty Boy” diva has continued her streak of charity during a segment called “Wheel Of Musical Impressions” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The bit, which aired just after Legend X’s return to her throne on The Voice this evening, found the “Let There Be Love” siren taking on the difficult task of interpreting TV themes, jingles and children’s rhymes through the limited vocal talents of lesser divas.
The pop stars selected for the challenge?
Former Mickey Mouse Club co-worker and current semi-retired Vegas showgirl, Britney Jean…
Regionally known Latina songstress-turned-Voice seat-filler Shakira…
And Cher, a veteran drag queen most famously known for her co-starring role in the critically acclaimed 2010 film, Burlesque.
For her Cher imitation, the “Show Me How You Burlesque” diva was given the ever-popular Folgers Coffee jingle. She delivered the tune with the same full-bodied gusto and flair as the seasoned Fire Island entertainer — a testament to her long-standing relationship with gay fans.
With Britney, the powerhouse vocalist impressively warbled through “This Little Piggy” in the baby-voiced styling of late ’90’s classic “…Baby One More Time.” As it turned out, there wasn’t even a slight difference in sound. In fact, the LNN can Excluusively reveal that Xtina has been tapped by RCA to provide both background and main vocals for Ms. Spears’ upcoming ninth studio record, reportedly titled Y’all, Do I Seriously Have To Record Another One?
Finally, when it came time to imitate Shakira, the unbreakable flower delivered a yodel-heavy, heavily accented rendition of the Golden Girls theme song that was, once again, frighteningly spot-on, causing President Obama himself to tweet after the show: “Wait, OMG. u guys. Srsly. Is @xtina secretly the one singing 4 all these girls?? This is amazing, lol!! BRB, war n shit.”
Immediately after the show, the Legendtina News Network reached out to the artists impersonated by the Stripped icon — all of whom responded with their thoughts.
“wtf is legendtina” – Cher
“Ley-lo-ley-ley-oh-ley! Right now, I am starting to feel like a coffee machine in an office. I cannot lie, and neither can my hips! This beautiful she wolf sounds just like me, but even better. Lucky that my voice is small and humble, so you don’t confuse it con Leyenda X. Ay!“ – Shakira
“What’s up Vegas? How you guys feeling? Right now, I want you to do me a big favor and count to 3. 1…2…3!” – Britney Spears
And the legacy lives on, still going strong…even through the lesser legacies of others.
Bow down, get on your knees!
