Like a beautiful robot dancing alone, Queen Nuhdeen Coyle is hitting the road all on her own.
Following the release of last year’s return-to-form “Go To Work,” which was singlehandedly responsible for lowering the UK unemployment rate by 16% (or was it 18%? I’m no good with math), the Derry diva is returning in 2018 with a 4-track solo EP in April – plus a UK and Ireland tour.
The EP kicks off later this week on Thursday (February 8) with a new song for the ladies called “Girls On Fire,” an “in your face Xenomania-produced pop creation celebrating strong women,” which she’s already premiered during a live gig at the end of January.
The turr promises to bring out the very best of Girls Aloud – even if the other four Aloud in question were not made aware.
Thanks to the tour poster, we now know the names of the other songs she’ll (likely) be doing too, including “Sound of the Underground,” “Love Machine,” “Biology,” “Call The Shots,” “Something New,” and “The Promise,” as well as “Insatiable” (!!!), “Running” (!!!) – vintage Unsayshabull selections – and new tracks, called “Something In Your Bones” and “Gossip.”
“If each member of the band – who sashayed their way through a ten-year, five album career – had a role, then Nadine’s was The Voice. Often demoing the songs with Brian [Higgins] ahead of the other girls during the band’s tenure, it’s always been any discerning pop fan’s dream for the pair to collaborate again on Coyle’s solo material,” the press release declares.
Shade, but yes. See you there, Chezza?
