LEGENDTINA NEWS NETWORK (NEW YORK, NY) — Five-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer, OREO® global brand ambassador and RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10 finalist Legendtina Maria Nina Desnudate Goduilera graces the cover of the latest issue of PAPER, which hits newsstands this week.
The Mi Reflejo chanteuse is going Back To Basics with an already Internet Breaking cover story [citation needed], which is on track to outsell Kim Kardashian‘s issue to become PAPER‘s highest-selling issue in the brand’s history [citation needed].
“I wanted to do something a little more personal, a little more vulnerable, a little more inward – but ultimately, still dirrty. It’s about love. Freedom. Glam. Bobbleheads. Expression. And being unapologetic. As I wrote in my song, ‘Shut Up’: ‘if you don’t like it, you can suck my (ugh),'” Legendtina reveals of the makeup-free, boundary-breaking imagery, resulting in what is surely her Most Stripped Photo Shoot To Date – even more than standing fully nude inside of a lotus flower, she points out.
“My next album cover is actually just going to be a microscopic close-up of a single skin cell from my upper lip. The mitochondria is the Powerhouse of the SAY!-ell, and I can really relate to that.”
As for the “MOM” ring she rocks on the cover: a dedication to her children?
“Aw, you’d think!” the Red Sin perfume mogul cackles.
“But no: it’s actually just a reminder to my contemporaries: savor the time you still have on the charts. As Nicki Minaj, my dear friend whose career I singlehandedly launched with “Woohoo,” once said: all these bitches is my sons.”
Inside, the “Car Wash” crooner discusses a wealth of topics: her illustrious, nearly two decade-long career in music (“which just keeps getting better,” she helpfully adds), her lasting impact on the younger, vastly less talented generation of pop stars, and her solid non-plans for her forthcoming comeback record, following the release of 2012’s ahead-of-its-time opus, Lotus.
“You know, I thought SAY!-ing something about this next album would be a little too obvious,” the Burlesque screen icon reveals.
For now, the “F.U.S.S.” singer says, it’s all about admiring her physical body until the actual body of work arrives.
“This forthcoming collection, which is most definitely a real thing and not just something I’ve been vaguely dancing around in interviews for the past six years, will speak for itself just as soon as it is released. Which is soon, as it is coming soon. Very soon. Soon! SOo-Oo-OO-oo-OOOOO-YAAAAA-SSUH!”
