Enough with all the he said, she said: Ashley Michelle Tisdale is officially returning to us, and that’s a Jessica Alba fantastic, instant classic fact.
The 33-year-old Headstrong pop chanteuse and High School Musical Disney Channel icon revealed that she’s (finally) dropping a third studio album called Symptoms this fall via newly launched record label Big Noise, according to Billboard on Friday (July 27).
The album was produced by Goldfinger frontman John Feldmann, who’s produced cuts for everyone from 5 Seconds of Summer to The Veronicas, including, most importantly, Hilary Duff‘s “Wake Up.”
“I’m so excited for this album. I’ve been in and out of the studio for the last four years and teaming up with John Feldmann has allowed me to create the most authentic album to date. I’ve co-written every song on the album and it’s so personal to me. Looking forward to sharing it with everyone!” Ash said in a press release.
“It has been an absolute pleasure working with Ashley on this album! Can’t wait for the world to hear this…We collaborated with some amazing writers on this album and I think the nine-year wait in between albums will have been worth it!” added John.
This will be Ashley’s first studio album in nearly a decade since 2009’s Guilty Pleasure.
Clearly – between the Mandy Moore comeback, the Ashlee Simpson comeback and now this – something is in the overpriced alkaline water that our beloved ’00s pop queens are drinking.
Be good and crank it up, bitches: the Ashlegend Tisdalemmaculate redemption is upon us.
