Dua Lipa – alternatively known in some circles as Dula Peep – Maker of The Rules, Teresa Giudice‘s Favorite Pop Star and Pop Star With The Potential To Be The One Who Then Became The One, announced on Tuesday (September 4) that she is re-releasing her critically acclaimed self-titled debut studio album on October 19, which feels like it was released approximately 300 years ago, but in fact was somehow only released one year ago.
So excited to release a super deluxe edition of my album on October 19th with 3 NEW SONGS!! Think of this as a little gift to wrap up this album cycle! ๐ Thank you for all the love and support. ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฅโก๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐ฎ pic.twitter.com/0lGq6gd5t8

Among the exciting bits and pieces tacked onto Dua Lipa โ Complete Edition, including new songs “Want To,” “Running,” and a much-buzzed about collaboration with Silk City (Mark Ronson and Diplo) called “Electricity” coming later this week, there’s also one little cross-cultural collaboration about to shake up the entire globe…
“Kiss and Make Up,” with none other than The Revolution themselves, BLACKPINK.
(If you haven’t been acquainted already with the South Korean girl group, get caught up to speed and literally stop embarrassing me. I don’t have time to explain.)
What did we DDU-DU DDU-DU to deserve this blessing? Unclear, although the signs were right there, whistling like a missile in front of our eyes just a few short months ago…
“Blackpink and Dua Lipa have expressed their enthusiasm for each other, foreshadowing the best synergy. It is expected that various collaborative works such as additional songs or stage performances will be possible starting from this collaboration,” YG Life declared.
This is huge news, not only because it’s a massively unexpected collaboration, but one that will provide a major international platform for the girls: Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosรฉ are officially coming for the crown(s).
Let’s go, girls.
