British DJ Duke Dumont released his excellent debut studio album earlier this year called Duality, and it features a standout song called “Nightcrawler” with Aussie-Swedish twin sister duo Say Lou Lou – or Slay Lou Lou, as they’re known ’round these parts.
The dreamy, retro groove is now getting the single treatment, complete with an official music video from Obra House (of Lil Nas X‘s “Panini” and Cardi B‘s “Press”), released on Wednesday (August 19) – which means it’s time to send this one up the charts.
“She’s not your lover, she’s not your friend / Not like the others, she won’t pretend…“
The music video follows two stylish women driving through the streets on a dangerous mission, supplying shades of Foxy Brown, Kill Bill and Madonna‘s “What It Feels Like for a Girl.” It’s a suiting visual accompaniment for the song’s night drive vibe – especially if you’ve got some risky business to attend to.
There’s also a remix of Duke and RY X‘s “Let Me Go” coming from disco legend Cerrone on Friday (August 21), off of the upcoming Duality Remixed album, which will also feature remixes from the likes of acts like Purple Disco Machine and Tensnake.
Duke’s already notched several smash hits in his career, including “Need U (100%)” and “I Got U,” so seeing the very under-appreciated Say Lou Lou finally slay lou lou the charts outside Sweden would be a dream.
Duality is available on CD and vinyl.
