‘Euronites’: Julie Bergan Taps Into Eurodance for Pure Euro-phoria

Time for some sensational Scandipop on your #NMF. (Or Saturday, whatever.)

I’ve written about Julie Bergan over the years, a Norwegian singer-songwriter who has been pumping out solid pop bangers over the past decade.

Her EURONITES EP is out now and, as the title implies, it’s a club-ready, nostalgia inducing collection of Eurodance/trance-inspired Euro-phoria.

“The Eurodance genre was central when I discovered music for real, and we all know that there is something very special about the first love,” she says.

Think late ‘90s to mid ‘00s – Cascada, Darude, Vengaboys, Aqua, ATC, September, Basshunter, etc. – including a modern take on 2001 Swedish bubblegum hit “Rosa Helikopter.”

My favorites at the moment are “Kiss Me Better” (her first co-producing credit!) and “Get It Together” – but it’s all perfect pop.

Get into it.
