In what I can only assume at this point is an intentional effort to kill me, Jade has covered Madonna’s “Frozen.”
On many days (including today), it is my favorite Madonna song.
I’ve gone on and on for months now about how Jade just “gets it” when it comes to pop, and this cover – and the accompanying quotes – is further evidence of that.
Come for the dramatic vocals and eerie, gently pulsating first few minutes. Stay for the sudden explosion into full-on banger mode, as highlighted in the little video edit I made.
Jade, you Little Star. You Mer Girl. You IT Girl. You’ve done it yet again.
And yes, it’s (unfortunately) an Apple Music exclusive, so we’ll all need to (kindly) bully her into making it available everyone if and when she can.
