Beyoncé Pulls A Beyoncé, Drops ***Flawless “Flawless” Remix With Nicki Minaj

track-flawless

It’s been over six months now since Beyoncé first pulled a Beyoncé and dropped Beyoncé (thus “pulling a Beyoncé”), her ***flawlessly-executed surprise visual album at the tail-end of 2013. And apparently, nothing about this album campaign can be anything but a surprise, because King Bey just dropped a Nicki Minaj-assisted remix of “Flawless” out of nowhere at midnight tonight.

Really, it’s not a remix at all — it’s nearly a whole new song, as Yoncé viciously raps and sings her way through new verses and brand new production, asserting her position on the throne.

Of course, only Bey could find a way to rap her way through an international scandal involving her sister and her husband earlier this year: “Of course sometimes shit go down when it’s a billion dollars on a elevator,” she matter-of-factly repeats before yelping over the sound of a cash machine. Ka-ching! When you think about it, she’s right. Of course shit is bound to go down when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator!

And then, with a regal horn blast, Bey announces “Onika” (!) to the stage. Barring the insensitive Michael Jackson doctor death line at the beginning (come on, Nicki!), she hits harder than ever on her spitfire guest feature while reminding us why she truly is the baddest rap bitch. “Every hood n–ga dream fantasizing about Nicki and Bey/Curvalicious, pussy served delicious,” she brags. She even references her iconic Kanye West “Monster” verse at one point! God, this is the Nicki I love: Vicious, clever and running the game.

The remix is a win for everyone involved. Goddamn, goddamn… Happy Saturday!
