Return to the Circus: Britney in Boston (August 29)

Yes, friends…I’ve experienced The Circus: Starring Britney Spears for my third and final (never say final?) time.

Check out the rest of the photos at my Facebook album.

Amazing, as per usual.

However, by far the most epic part of my night began right before the concert, when I noticed a few familiar faces making their way up the stairs of my section–Britney’s dancers! Not knowing quite how to handle that situation, I managed to throw an overenthusiastic-though-knowing-glance their way and a quick “Hi!” as they passed up the stairs.

When I turned to see where they were heading, I saw some homo frantically pushing his way through the section to try and meet them, a camera held in hand. Realizing that this was probably my one and only chance to do something bold (and/or block him from getting there first), I jumped up, ran up the stairs, and went “HI! Can I take a quick picture with you?!” And wouldn’t you know it–they did!

They were, like, the super nicest. Honestly–each one was genuinely so sweet! I wished them all a a great show and they thanked me and then I got all giggly and ran back to my seat where I shakily reviewed my photos while briefly pondering my increasingly out of control fits of fandom.

All in all, the show ran pretty similarly to how it’s been in the past. The most notable difference was Britney’s smiley, bubblier demeanor; a vast improvement from the slightly robotic, run-through-the-motions Britney I’d encountered only a few months prior.
Oh yeah, and she wore this poofy black tulle half-skirt during the “Freakshow” segment, which I thought added a nice semi-Gothic touch to the Freakshow act.

Otherwise, there were no outbursts and no real glitches…just a very solid, very exciting concert.

And now, a compilation of the videos I took–all combined into one video! Convenient, yes?

God, I love this bitch.
