Kylie Minogue Performs on BBC’s Radio 2, Reveals Plans for 2011 Orchestral Greatest Hits Album

Who’s ready for Kylie overload?!

This morning, Kylie Minogue visited the BBC’s Radio 2 to perform a series of acoustic tracks.

Starting with the supreme chilled version of “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” (shivers!) first performed on the Radio 1 Live Lounge series (0:40), as well as acoustic renditions of three other songs: “In My Arms” (1:24), “Confide In Me” (1:54), and “Better Than Today.” (2:00). (LISTEN)

While all of the renditions are equally gorgeous, “Confide In Me” is a particular highlight, featuring a brand new string arrangement and gorgeously haunting vocals. Then again, it’s always a thrill to hear this one live–one of my top Kylie tracks by a mile!

Later into the show, Kylie was asked if she had any plans to string together a “Greatest Hits remixed” album in the near future. “Yes I am,” she explained to Ken Bruce, “Thanks in no small part to the BBC, I’ve always loved working with an orchestra and doing acoustic sets, so we’re looking forward to putting together an album of all the various songs in this kind of way.”

She also went on to announce that the 2011 Les Folies Tour would be heading to North America, Japan and Australia. “Stay tuned to the website,” she said.

So, so, SO exciting!
