Two Leaks, One Love: Rihanna’s “S&M” and Ke$ha’s “Cannibal”

IT’S PINK FRIDAY HOE. What better way to celebrate than indulging in some of the glorious musical leakage that’s just descended on pink, powdery clouds from the Pop Heavens?

First up comes “S&M,” the lead track off of Rihanna‘s upcoming studio album, LOUD. While the song’s already been on my radar (on my ray-duh) ever since we first got a tease of the lyrics (“Sticks and stones may break my bones / But whips and chains excite me”), it wasn’t until today that we got a sampling, and then an extended taste, and then a heaping helping of the whole damn thing.

And guess what? IT’S FUCKING AMAZING. Duh!

Like a cross between “Disturbia” and “Only Girl (In The World),” Rihanna only continues to flaunt her stronghold on the dance floor in her newest dark, filthy offering. “I may be bad, but I’m perfectly good at it / Sex in the air, I don’t care, I love the smell of it,” the Bajan beaut boldly announces above a commanding, thumping electronic beat. Cocky and confident as ever, RiRi is clearly in a “Rude Boy” state of mind once again, but this time…she wants to play.

Lucky for me, my whips and chains are already all hung up and organized on my bedroom wall according to size and shape. READY BOYS?

Wait! Before you evacuate the dance floor, here comes the next serving from Ke$ha‘s Cannibal, which continues to grow increasingly delicious with each new serving.

Following the bossy bump of “Sleazy,” K$ goes in for the kill again with “Cannibal,” prowling the streets in search of boys and blood on top of a sick, electro-tribal beat. “I eat boys up, you better run,” the stinky seductress warns before launching into the chorus, which is nothing but an incredible, soaring rallying cry on repeat: “I AM CANNIBAL!”

But don’t worry, even with all this talk of blood and guts, the lyrics are purely the stuff of Ke$ha: “But now that I’m famous, you’re up my anus / Now I’m gonna eat you, fool!”

K$ux is basically doing everything right with the Animal re-release campaign by packaging her debut record with a brand new EP-that-feels-like-a-new-album, complete with amazing songs that follow a slightly darker, more violent theme. Let’s cut to the quick and call it “The Gaga Method.” It worked last year, and it’s working again now.

Now get your ass up and D-A-N-C-E, bitches! Have a very merry weekend from MuuMuse!
