‘Sin Pijama’: Becky G & Natti Natasha Deliver the Latin ‘Slumber Party’ We Deserve

Hoy no vamos a dormir…

God, I love Becky G.

America might not be fully aware, but the 21-year-old pint-sized superstar and Queen of Showers is slowly taking over the Latin markets with each new Spanish-language release over the past two years – and every single song has been nothing short of fuego, from self-empowering kiss-off “Sola,” to her too-big-to-fit-in-her-mouth (!) daddy-seeking smash “Mayores,” to this latest moment.

“Sin Pijama” is a sexy, lit (literally) duet with Dominican singer-songwriter Natti Natasha dedicated to climbing in bed – without pajamas! – smoking weed and losing sleep while getting nasty all night. (Literally: “we ain’t gonna sleep toni-i-ght.“)

That’s right: from the sultry suggestiveness of the song itself to the girl-on-girl fantasy mansion action of the music video, Miss Becky’s giving us a delicious reggaeton-drenched homage to Brit Brit and Tinashe‘s “Slumber Party.” (There’s even a cute little plot twist at the end – very “expectation vs. reality.”)

Best part? That’s got to be “Así que dale pom-pom-pom-pom-pom / Ponle carne a mi sazón-zón-zón-zón-zón / Choca to’ eso con mi bon-bon-bon-bon-bon.” We love poetry! Also: “Siempre he sido una dama / Pero soy una perra en la cama.

And who knew Miss G was so into fumando the marijuana? And on 4/20, no less? Qué apropiado.

The track’s an instantly infectious, replay-friendly bop, and the hot music video already shot straight to No. 1 on YouTube Trending – above Ari at the moment, shockingly. Here comes the smash-ah! Pajama manufacturers already reported a 3000% sales decrease.

And maybe even some U.S. radio love? With my boyfriend Maluma and J Balvin enjoying crossover moments, there’s no reason Becky can’t (deservedly) accomplish the same.

“Sin Pijama” was released on April 20. (iTunes)
