Beach Boys & Snoop Dogg…Together At Last

Wait, what? Gregg Gillis, better known as Girl Talk has something new and exciting to show you. Today marks the release of his fourth major album, Feed The Animals. So what’s his music like? Well, think Sinead O’Connor. With a little bit of Rihanna. And then add Air, Nirvana, and some Fleetwood Mac into the mix for good measure. Confused? I don’t doubt it. That’s because Girl Talk’s a mixer, in the business of mashing song samples into one riff filled explosion of sound. His new album is filled to the top with samples from artists stretching across the generations, intermingling in incredible and sometimes unexpectedly fantastic combinations. Who knew that Nine Inch Nails‘ “Wish” and Kelly Clarkson‘s “Since U Been Gone” were always meant to be?

It’s an awesome experience to go through these tracks–mainly as there’s simply never a dull moment. Modern mathematics argues that you will have to like each track for at least twenty seconds, considering almost every style and artist is covered within seconds of the remix-tastic creation. Better still, Gillis is going all Radiohead on this production with a “pay-your-price” set up. You can pay nothing or everything for the album…just enter your price. Either way, you’ll get the album in high quality format. If that’s not your style, you can wait until it comes out in physical form. The choice is yours. Head to Girl Talk’s MySpace to preview the tracks, or here to buy the album (for free, if you’d like!)
