Girls Gone Wild: The New Single by Girlicious, “Maniac”

Given that I’ve played this track well over twenty times now, I think it’s fair to say that the girls have officially merited their own post.

Girlicious is the side project started up by Robin Antin, the creator of the Pussycat Dolls (RIP). They never really lifted off (except for the semi-brilliant moment that was “Like Me”), but now that PCD is no more (RIP), this is the best we’ve got to work with.

Girlicious have a new single out now. It’s called “Maniac.”

“Maniac” is nothing you haven’t heard already on the radio. A bit of Gaga here, a little Rihanna there. There’s even a splash of Sugababes 4.0 in there. This is a good thing.

The bridge sounds like the chorus, and the chorus is a bunch of ‘ooh-oh-oh’-ing all over the place. These are more good things.

Here is a video of the girls filming the video for “Maniac,” which mainly consists of the ladies getting doused in water and being yelled at to whip their hair around better. Girl power, indeed.

In conclusion, this is a song that is good.
