Kelis: 4th of July (Fireworks) (Video Premiere)

Ahoy! It’s here: The sizzling video premiere for Kelis‘ second single from Flesh Tone, “4th of July (Fireworks).” But first…

SPOILER ALERT: There are fireworks.

There’s loads of wonderful, colorful imagery to be found here, including some steamy fire scenes, gorgeous desert shots, and killer laser light displays.

But the best moment for me has got to be a little after the three minute mark, when Kelis makes quick use of a light rope to twirl ’round her head for a bit. So simple, yet so fierce at the same time.

For an album often described by the singer as “carnal,” the video certainly helps to add more fuel to the fire. SOMEONE GET ME A FAN, PLEASE.
