Kylie Minogue Looks Lovely, Stays Classy In “Into The Blue” Video

With nothing to lose, Queen Kylie Minogue‘s just unveiled the video for her Kiss Me Once lead single, “Into The Blue” (or, as it’s known in some circles, “Into The Buh-LOOOOOOO.”)

Teaming up once again with director Dawn Shadforth (“Spinning Around,” “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” “2 Hearts”), the divine diva spends the bulk of the clip flirting, smooching and generally getting all cutesy with her major hunk of a co-star, French actor Clement Sibony. (And really, who could blame her?)

There’a a chic party scene as well, which sees Kylie revisiting her gold lamé “Spinning Around” days — as well as rocking a kiss mark dress, get that #KissMeOnce promo, KM! — and letting loose among fancy partygoers.

At one point, she starts fabulously sauntering down the sidewalk and Clement comes running after her, perhaps following a lover’s quarrel of some sort (a LOVE FIGHT, if you will — DANNII REFERENCE), but really, the focus is solely on the smoldering on-screen chemistry between the two.

As for the video’s aesthetic? It’s something like Sex & The City meets 1960’s French cinema. There’s certainly an air of refinement and elegance (it’s Kylie Minogue, duh), but not so much a plot.

Is it her most memorable clip to date? Perhaps not. I suppose, also, that expectations were set rather high after the million man pile-on of “All The Lovers” and the lush flooreography of “Get Outta My Way” from the Aphrodite era. Still, it’s beautiful.

This is Kylie serving us pop with maturity and sophistication, darling.

‘Kiss Me Once’ will be released on March 18. (iTunes)
