Premiere: Salt Ashes – “Somebody (Danglo Remix)”

Salt-Ashes-Somebody-1500-550x550

Salt Ashes, if you’ll recall from back in January, is a UK dark synth-pop princess on the rise. (Rise up, lotus…this is the beginning.)

Her debut single “Somebody,” which sounds a lot like Kylie Minogue and/or Kate Bush getting lost inside a dark discotheque, remains sonic ear candy since the day it dropped.

What better way to keep the song pulsating on our playlists than a brand new remix, courtesy of emerging remixer/producer Danglo?

The previously unreleased mix slathers on warm, shimmering layers of warm ’70’s disco pulsations, strings and some Island-like steel drum, giving the chilly original a bit of a summery stomp. A perfect addition to your Saturday night playlist, no?

Check out the premiere of Salt Ashes’ “Somebody (Danglo Remix)” below.

“Somebody” will be released on February 17. (iTunes)
