Dannii Minogue Is Releasing a 15th Danniiversary Edition of ‘Neon Nights’

Fifteen years later, we can now, quite literally, put the needle on it.

For the record: Dannii Minogue‘s Neon Nights, if you know me – really, really know me (to be read aloud in the style of Cheryl in “Swinging London Town”) – is one of my Top 10 albums of all time, and one of the key records that helped to mold me into the full-fledged homosexual I am today.

I’ve yet to do a Proper Album Review, but here’s a little spiel about the album and its equally glorious B-sides from a few years ago: dirty hands, I still demand.

It’s a legendary listen from start to finish, truly: Dannii is the first artist in history to get permission from Madonna herself to use a sample when she released an official mash-up of “Into The Groove” and “Don’t Want To Lose This Feeling,” for God’s sake.

Imagine my great delight, then, to find on this glorious morning (March 17) that Disco D is planning to honor the fifteen anniversary – sorry, Danniiversary – of the record with a special re-release. (Take notes, Blackout…)

That’s right: we will finally be able to, quite literally, put the needle on it.

“5 years today🙌🏻🙌🏻#NeonNights 🙌🏻🙌🏻watch 👀 out this week for pre-order details for special #Danniiversary release to download and stream, on CD and, for the first time ever, on vinyl 💕💙💕💙💕💙💕#puttheneedleonit,” Queen D wrote on her Instagram.

Will there be even more content featured than the 2007 reissue? Where do you plan to hang this in your home? And most importantly, who do you love now?

While we wait for answers, keep it on the loop. Mon cœur, encore…
