Lady Gaga’s Cover of Chic’s ‘I Want Your Love’ Is Here, Three Years Later

Grab your disco sticks everyone.

Nile…Chic…Gaga.

The amount of gay excellence on this day, I just…

So, Lady Gaga, who stars in a movie called A Star Is Born which I just wrote about hours ago (I ain’t gonna sleep toni-i-ght…), recorded a Gaga-fied cover of Chic‘s “I Want Your Love” three years ago. It was used for Tom Ford‘s Spring/Summer 2016 collection. And then we never heard about it again…until now.

At long last, the legendary Nile Rodgers-helmed Chic album is here. And It’s About Time. (No, literally, that’s the name of the album. Appropriate.)

We’re all well aware that Gaga’s musical output has veered more in the direction of the dive bar than the dance floor as of late, so it’s a bit of a treat to have even a taste of DiscoGaga back today, if only because of a long-delayed record. Hey, we’ll take it. It’s fab, just like Donatella.

So grab your disco sticks, everyone: we’re partying like we’re Fame-era Gaga time-traveling back to 1978.
