The Hikaru Utada floodgates have officially just opened.

Following the announcement of the SCIENCE FICTION 2024 tour and forthcoming first-ever (?) greatest hits album celebrating the 25th anniversary since their debut, the “Sanctuary” sensation has revealed a ton of new details – from the album versions and covers, to the track listing and release date, to the tour dates and the tour trailer.

THE ALBUM

SCIENCE FICTION officially (sakura) drops on April 10, 2024.

The 26-track (!) album includes forthcoming single “Naniirodemonai Hana (A Flower of No Color)” due out on February 12, a still-unrevealed brand new song (!!), newly recorded versions (!!!) of “Addicted to You,” “Traveling” and “Hikari,” as well as ten songs with new mixes (!), and a special edit of “Somewhere Near Marseilles” as a bonus track (!).

The album includes a serial number that will allow fans to have access to an advance application (from April 9 – April 30) for the HIKARU UTADA SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024, ahead of the regular release date. The Premium Tickets are purchasable only during the advanced application using this serial number.

THE TOUR

The dates and venues for the tour have been revealed, which can be seen on the official tour site. (There’s also an app.) There’s a tour trailer too, featuring Hikki twirling through the Science Fiction psychedelic visuals.
