As M.I.A. continues to roll out her cyber-campaign for her upcoming ‘Internet inspired’ studio album, /\/\/\Y/\ (which I’ve taken to much more than I originally anticipated), the singer has been uploading snippets and mixes on her label’s official blog.
Last night, Arulpragasam uploaded a remix of one of the better songs from the album, “Teqkilla,” featuring a vocal boost by the one and only Nicki Minaj. Affectionately titled the “Lost My Phone Out Wiv Nicki Minaj” remix, the song benefits greatly from a moment of escape into the silly lyrical stylings of the Harajuku Barbie.
“Yeah, I’m fucked up,” Minaj finally reveals in a silent moment between the song’s wailing sirens. With a song like this, a little intoxication is all but required.
/\/\/\Y/\ will be released on July 13.
