Looks like the ball’s rolling with the promotion for Sigur Rós‘ newest album, which translates into English as “with a buzz in our ears we play endlessly.” The album will be ready for pre-order on June 2, streaming by June 9, and in physical form by June 23. The band has indeed made yet another departure from their last steps, this time incorporating a ceaseless percussion backing and a light-hearted bout of chanting. This is a much warmer variety of sound, much more at peace with itself than the last composition. But be careful now, the video is sort of like the animated version of their album cover. The proximity of all the jiggling genatalia to the brambles and thorns of the forest makes this video especially difficult to watch. On the other hand, it does feature boobies.
