Someone’s Discovered iMovie…

This is pretty monumental. It’s the new hyper-morphic video (perhaps promotional only) for Grace Jones‘ latest release since 1989, Corporate Cannibal. I’ve got so much to say about the accomplishments and stylings of this perpetually perplexing woman, but I’ll save it for another time and date. The song, which is the title track of the album is a demonically driven little number, rife with bitterly violent lyrics and hard-hitting tribal beats intermingling with the sharpest of metal instrumental edges. And, of course, plenty of signature, knife-sharp glares throughout. The way she mutters, “Every man, woman, and child is a target…” So frighteningly haunting! I’m hearing some particles of brilliance reminiscent of Björk‘s hey-day, actually. You’ve really got to behold the spectacle…It’s absolutely insane.
