MPHO Covers Kate Bush’s "Running Up That Hill"

Hey, look! MPHO gave MuuMuse a shout out in the latest news update on her official website.

Yet another blog fan of MPHO is MuuMuse, which – though it didn’t pick up on this new video cover yet – praised the artist’s mixtape.

“I’m usually not a big fan of mixtapes in the inbox,” the site reads. “…However, I don’t mind MPHO’s Art of Pop series one bit. Why? Mainly because it’s got some Grace Jones and Beysus in it, but also because it’s enjoyable background sound for the work week! Plus, it’s got plenty of snippets from MPHO’s debut album, Pop Art, due later this year.”

And fear not–I too picked up on the video cover a few weeks ago…and I’m still smitten! So sorry for not posting, I should know better.

It’s entirely lovely, and also a bit unexpected: A cover of Kate Bush‘s “Running Up That Hill,” in this day and age? Now that’s a fine demonstration of proper pop learning, yet another aspect of the singer that’s so easy to love.
