Loads of news on the RóisÃn Murphy front today.
Firstly, the new single off of Murphy’s upcoming album will be called “Demon Lover” according to the RóisÃn Murphy Blog. They report:
Roisin describes the tune to BBC 6 Music as “a big funky house track. It’s a souped-up full on garage tune”.
Sounds like a big night out.
Along with that is a tiny spot of news on the album, which Murphy declares to be “quite gritty, it has a slightly London sound to it, it’s a bit more urban and bass-ey than Overpowered.”
I’m guessing we’ll see it late this year, though there are no guarantees–just wishful thinking.
Additionally, RóisÃn Murphy is pregnant with her first child. And while I don’t by any means wish that it is a demon child, it would match quite well with the lead single, wouldn’t it? Congratulations to Mama Murphy in the meantime :).
