It is 3:35 in the AM, and I’ve just heard the exclusive radio premiere of Cheryl Cole‘s “Fight For This Love” on BBC Radio 1. I have also ordered 250 glossy business cards for my blog–a decision I’ll surely regret when I’m of full body and mind in the morning.
As for the song’s verdict? It is very good. It sounds like everything you’ve ever heard on the radio this week, except it’s backed by a much-adored talent show judge/girl group member/supposedly up-and-coming fashion icon. In other words, you’re sort of rooting for it in the first place. Slick verses, unexpectedly strong chorus delivery…all good things.
I want to fight (fight) fight (fight) fight for this love…but right now, all I want to do is sleep.
