Meet South Korean sensations, Miss A.
After releasing their debut album A Class in both South Korea and China in 2011, the K-pop quartet has just unleashed a brand new 6-track EP called Touch on February 20. (Such is the never-ending release schedule of a typical Korean pop act–not even a moment to breathe until you’re literally passing out on stage, basically.)
Nonetheless, the group don’t seem too winded yet: In fact, they’ve just unleashed the brand new video for “Touch”–the lead single from their latest EP–two days ago, which has already garnered over 1.5 million views. Not too shabby, eh?
There’s good reason, as the video is incredibly sick: Between the somewhat-creepy-yet-entirely amazing jump-cut cinematography, razor sharp choreography, glamorous styling and glossy sheen, the clip delivers just about everything I adore about K-Pop.
Plus, the song’s a total ear-worm! No wonder, as “Touch” has been crafted and produced by Park Jin Young, the multi-talented CEO of miss A’s record label JYP Entertainment (and producer for acts like Wonder Girls).
With a solid electronic heartbeat and some seriously melodic hooks (that chorus!), the track mixes together dance and R&B elements (check out the Newport Mix of the track, which magnifies the R&B feel), resulting in something very, very good in between.
Now, time to dig into the rest of Touch immediately!
