LEGENDTINA NEWS NETWORK (New York, NY) — Having heard the endless clamoring for her return by fans nationwide, “Let There Be Love” songstress Legendtina Goduilera has finally returned to The Voice.
Earlier today, the iconic 4-time Grammy Award winning songstress and Burlesque beauty appeared in a brand new promotional clip for the upcoming TV singing competition alongside “Moves Like Jagger” collaborator Adam Levine, “Just A Fool” duet partner Blake Shelton and “Make The World Move” feature artist, Cee Lo Green.
The commercial features the Voice Of Her Generation, looking dazzling in a “Red Hot Kinda Love” dress borrowed from the cancelled Lotus Tour, triumphantly gliding across the water while crooning Peaches & Herb‘s “Reunited. Legendtina explains to the LNN that her performance was inspired by Amphitrite, wife of Poseidon, as well as Jesus Christ, who Legendtina referred to as “a great inspiration” and “a longtime fan,” noting that the Christian messiah’s name was actually inspired by her own.
According to an assistant on hand during the shoot, the concept was entirely invented by the forward-thinking Bionic legend herself: “We actually didn’t know she was going to do that. The original treatment called for her to sit there and wave into the camera, but then she just got up and started yelling. It made a lot of people very nervous. We had to cut it down substantially in post-production — she originally performed the entirety of Stripped followed by Etta James‘ “At Last” — one whistle note in particular attracted those woodland creatures to the set.”
Researchers at Nielsen are already predicting that the season premiere of The Voice Season 5 will generate more viewers than both Madonna and Beyoncé‘s Super Bowl halftime show performances combined, while the fan support on The Voice’s official Facebook page is already overwhelming.
This will truly be a comeback to remember.
