Last month, t.A.T.u. darling-turned solo starlet Lena Katina teamed up with MuuMuse to put out the call to DJs, producers and first-time mixers alike to put their own unique touch on her latest This Is Who I Am single, the slinky “An Invitation.”
And, after giving all the submissions a listen, we’ve selected the winning productions from the remix contest…
Congratulations to our runner-up Xelakad, who will receive a Lena Katina prize pack for delivering a pulsating, trance-y dance floor re-interpretation of the seductive tune.
And in first place — a win that includes both a prize pack and bragging rights with an official feature on the forthcoming An Invitation Remix EP out on April 28 — is the Tipsy remix, which gives the song an air of slow-burning suspense with some echoey finger snaps and dark ‘n’ chilly downtempo electronica. It’s something more…spooky.
