“Let’s just feel this feeling…”
Her GPS might have sent her down a detour a few times, but Tinashe is back on the road and heading in the right direction towards the release of her long, long overdue Joyride – and she’s feeling This Feeling again. (The OG fans already know the REFERENCE.)
After fending off dra-ma-ma in her ooh-la-la with “No Drama (feat. Offset)” just a few weeks ago, the 25-year-old Aquarius genre-juggling underrated talent is right back at it with a hypnotic second offering from her upcoming project.
This time around, she’s swerved right back into her moody lane, spreading the luh, luh, luh-luh-love across the chilled out, StarGate-produced “Faded Love,” featuring her “How Many Times” co-star, Future.
We already know Tinashe’s totally capable of throwing it down and showing off her fierce footwork with uptempo cuts like “Just Say” – she’s one of the best dancers in the game today, after all – and she can turn her charming pop star shine on with bubblier bops like “Superlove” and “Slumber Party,” too.
But, as with the bulk of her stellar 2014 major label debut, as well as the mixtapes released before and after, Tinashe seems most in her element in the midnight hour, cooing above a late night beat while riding that vibe in the dark.
“I don’t know what’s next, but I know that it’s on,” she sensually purrs. “Just follow me, follow me, follow me home.”
Recording is done, the track list is submitted, and this Joyride is finally revving up for real.
Lead the way, T.
