It’s (not) an illusion, I DO care: Madonna has officially returned to her longtime record label Warner Records, nearly 20 years after she left, for the release of her brand new studio album in 2026.
“And it feels like home…”
Described as her “upcoming new dance album” (help) and “the follow-up to her acclaimed Confessions on a Dance Floor” (HELP) in a press release (along with new photos that feel like Bedtime Stories in 2025), this will be her first record in seven years since 2019’s Madame X, and a reunion with the maestro himself, Stuart Price.
“From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again and in fact that couldn’t have been truer. Since the beginning Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations,” Her Madgesty proclaimed in a statement.
Still hung up, after all these years.
Confessions 2. 2026. Let’s go.
