“I Wanna Go,” Godney‘s third single from her seventh studio album Femme Fatale, just hit a new peak in this week’s newly published Billboard Hot 100, taking a leap from #22 to #17…and it’s still rising, uncontrollably! (La-blee, la-blee, la-blee, blee blee blee…)
YASSSSSS!!! Milk that album, bitch! (DO YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?!)
According to a news article from Billboard posted this afternoon, this is the third time Queen B has spawned 3 Top 20 hits (so far!) from an album. From the article:
With the first two singles from “Femme” having reached Nos. 1 and 3 (“Hold It Against Me” and “Till the World Ends”) respectively, Spears has racked a trio of top 20 hits from each of her last two studio sets; 2008’s “Circus” yielded “Womanizer” (No. 1), the title cut (No. 3) and “If U Seek Amy” (No. 19). Her only other album to manage the feat? Her 1999 debut “…Baby One More Time,” which generated the No. 1 title track, “(You Drive Me) Crazy” (No. 10) and “From the Bottom of My Broken Heart” (No. 14). (She almost scored four top 20 hits from that set; second single “Sometimes” peaked at No. 21).
But I’m not satisfied yet. I wantchu to take it HIYUH! Let’s go Top 10!
2011: YEAR OF THE SPEARS.
