Former Hannah Montana starlet, Terry Richardson muse and pelvis model Miley Cyrus has a new single coming out. It’s called “Adore You,” and it’s probably one of the best songs off of Bangerz.
From Billboard:
Miley Cyrus’ last two singles, “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball,” were two of the biggest songs of 2013 — and the 21-year-old is betting on a tender love ballad to continue her winning streak. “Adore You,” the opening track on Cyrus’ “Bangerz” album, has been selected as the third official single from the album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in October.
According to a press release, “Adore You” — which was produced by Oren Yoel — will impact Top 40 radio on Jan. 6, 2014.
Why is “Adore You” so great? Because it’s essentially a cut from the Backyard Sessions bottled into one slow, mesmerizingly sweet ode penned by Stacy Barthe and Orel Yoel that doesn’t try to be anything other than a beautiful, timeless love song. The track already peaked at #42 on the Hot 100 from the jump when the album first dropped, so it’s already basically a Top 40 hit.
The nice thing about “Adore You” being an official single is that this is a time for Miley to take off the pussy (cat) leotard, stick her tongue back in her mouth and simply blow the haters away with her capable chops. Then again, it’s highly unlikely she’ll actually keep it “classy” — which inanimate object is due to become her next on-screen lover? — but that hardly matters: Just like “Wrecking Ball,” the song is unquestionably gorgeous.
The other nice thing about “Adore You” being an official single is that, come late Winter/early Spring, she’ll have a chance to take that tongue out of hibernation and spring back into action with any of her bouncier cuts — likely “SMS (Bangerz)” or “#GetItRight.” She’s only just begun having her fun, if you will.
Good move, Mileybird. Fuckin’ Bangerz!
