Oh, I love me some Moxiie.
If you aren’t already along for the ride, rising NYC-based singer-songbird Moxiie started making waves ’round these parts back in 2011 with her Jungle Pop EP, a feisty collection of gritty dance-pop bangers. A year later, she dropped her debut LP, Savage. And, ever the sonic shapeshifter, she returned with a more dancehall-inspired sound on the ScandiRara EP in mid-2013.
Since then, big things continue to come Moxiie’s way, including a deal with Universal Australia.
To kick off the New Year with something fresh ‘n fierce, Miss Moxiie’s delivered the (long awaited!) video for one of my very favorites of the bunch, “Dancing In Dirt.”
The uptempo stomper, which was originally produced by Fredro, gets an extra kick in the pants for the visual, courtesy of a remix by Kavedo. It’s about time we got a clip from the budding popstress, considering her style and swagger are so patently sick. (The girl knows how to rock a crown.)
Check out Mox work, work, working it out against blinding strobe lights, pulling all sorts of shapes in the darkness above.
With any luck, this is only the beginning of good things we’ll be seeing and hearing from Moxiie in 2014.
Savage was released in December of 2012. (iTunes)
