We already knew that the long-awaited Carly Rae Jepsen comeback is really, really happening this year.
And now, we know the campaign kicks off in March with “I Really Like You.”
Manager Scooter Braun, who is also helming CL‘s American debut, spoke briefly to Billboard about Godly Raimmaculate Jepselegend’s return following last week’s iHeartMedia Music Summit, where execs gathered to share their planned projects for 2015.
Two of your acts that were well-received at the summit include a new artist, Who Is Fancy (“Goodbye”), and Capitol’s Tori Kelly (“Nobody Love”). Any others that stood out?
Scooter Braun: Carly Rae Jepsen. Her new single is coming in March. I told her that she couldn’t come out with anything unless it was on the level of “Call Me Maybe.” And, now we have a new one that is on that level.
