Fact: Jimmy Jam, of prolific songwriting/production duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, casually hinted on Twitter last week that Janet Jackson is getting ready to return to music…and nobody noticed.

WHAT.
Of course, it could mean something like a 25th anniversary edition of Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814 (or, less likely, a 10th anniversary edition of Damita Jo) — or even something entirely unrelated to music. (Janet Skincare!) But a tweet from Jimmy Jam seems to imply that something new and music-related is afoot, and we already know that Janet’s been slowly taking her time to record new music for at least a few years now. (“Let’s Wait Awhile,” as one might say.)
Fact: Between this and Madonna‘s impending return, quite literally nothing else matters today.
