Tinashe is in a very Vegas state of mind.
As Aquarius creeps closer with each passing night, we’ve been slowly-but-surely treated to tantalizing tastes of what’s to come, from the club smash “2 On (feat. Schoolboy Q)” to her luscious electro-ballad, “Pretend (feat. A$AP Rocky).”
Like “Pretend,” the StarGate production is silky bliss, sitting comfortably in between the spacey next-level R&B vibes of her previous mixtapes and more mainstream #SomethingMoreUrban hip-hop beats, providing the perfect new addition to that baby makin’ soundtrack.
“These flashing lights/I let you love me ’cause I can tell that you want me/Just you and I/Body to body, we getting out of this party,” she seductively teases above twerk-friendly, “Pour It Up”-esque clapping beats. And then, she just keeps going: “Every kiss getting wetter/money can’t buy this pleasure/I said baby I do it better.” Unffff.
Kicking it in a classy Vegas hotel is evidently the thing to do with The Bae Tinashe.
And, knowing what a Britney stan Tinashe is, it probably looks something like this…
