Stop what you’re doing: Britney Spears is officially opening the MTV Video Music Awards this year.
Check out the quote from Lady B herself:
“MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I
not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I’m excited to open the
entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated,” Spears
said in a statement.
No word on what she’s doing exactly, though the source reports that it will be a presentation, not a performance. Then again, we also heard that Britney Spears was absolutely not showing up to the show from her own manager, so….anything can happen.
Oh, and I figured it was implied here, but yes, I’ve gone through all the motions: The gasping, the victory dance, the soiling oneself, etc. I suggest you respond accordingly as well.
